The essay Rig gnas kun shes nas bdag med grub pa (“Realization of selflessness by knowing all the branches of science”) composed by the Tibetan scholar sTag tshang lo tsa ba (1405-? C.E.), an adherent of the Sa skya pa school, consists of six chapters. Each of the latter five deals with one of the five classical Buddhist fields of knowledge (rig gnas) that have been introduced in a general way in the first chapter. The text is written in verse and is accompanied by a commentary composed by sTag tshang himself. The project aims at a critical edition of the fifth chapter that deals with epistemology or logic and will also include an annotated German translation, an introductory study and indices.
